Joe L. LeoneShareholder Mr. Leone has extensive experience representing clients in a variety of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, reorganizations, divestitures, and liquidations. Mr. Leone provides legal services related to medical and dental practice transitions throughout the Washington, D.C. region. His clients in this area include physicians, podiatrists, dentists, and the business entities in which they practice, as well as ambulatory surgery centers. Mr. Leone handles all aspects of the medical and dental practice structure through and including the structuring, negotiating, documenting and implementing employee arrangements, partnership arrangements, acquisitions and sales. Mr. Leone heads the firm's medical and dental acquisition practice. Mr. Leone also provides estate planning services to business owners and other individuals, helping them transfer their assets to future generations while minimizing transfer taxes. Mr. Leone received his B.A. in economics from Brandeis University in 1983, cum laude; his J.D., with honors, from the George Washington University in 1986; and his LL.M. in taxation from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1993. Mr. Leone is admitted to practice law in Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia and Florida. He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar, the Maryland State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. |
