Jim Peppe has over twenty-five years of experience in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, corporate law, and commercial transactions.

Mr. Peppe provides a broad range of estate planning and estate administration services, helping his clients develop and implement estate plans to transfer assets to future generations while minimizing estate taxes and other costs. This includes the preparation of wills, trusts and related documents, tax planning, and probating estates. In addition, he frequently serves as a Trustee or Personal Representative to help families manage their estates and avoid family disputes.

Mr. Peppe also serves as outside corporate counsel to a wide range of companies. His corporate representation includes negotiating, drafting and reviewing all types of contracts, corporate governance, financing, buy-sell planning, and structuring and drafting complex limited liability company, partnership, and joint venture agreements. Mr. Peppe’s transactional experience spans all aspects of business transactions including negotiating and drafting the letter of intent, reviewing and completing the due diligence process, negotiating and drafting the purchase agreement, and closing the transaction.

Mr. Peppe has served on the Board of Governors of the Maryland State Bar Association and as Chair of its Committee on Unincorporated Business Associations. Under Mr. Peppe’s leadership, the Committee drafted and championed amendments to the Maryland Limited Liability Company Act.
